The Psychology of Depression & Therapeutic Modalities facilitated by David Kato, PhD

Hypnotherapy training schools do not provide this speciality in depression, uni-polar, clinical depression, major depressive illness, ante & post natal depression.

Virtually every hypnotherapist comes across a client suffering with depression, ranging from minor to suicidal. To be able to help those with depression takes more than just a often trite, positive thoughts and feelings suggestive therapy, or increasing self-esteem and confidence. The client may feel a little better after this therapy, but for their future ability to stay out of depression, can be 'short lived' and disappointing to them.

This workshop will provide you with the skills and toolbox to utilize, for the many variant negative thought processes that depressives find difficult to change. You will be able to give them better coping skills and mechanisms to live life in a better way, mainly using CBT, cognitive behavioural therapy.

Obsessive Compulsive Disorders facilitated by Kim Manning, PhD
Obsessive compulsive disorders, although it is termed as one, are quite different. An obsession is felt, while a compulsion is acted out. In an obsession the fear is private and inward, and in a compulsion the fear (or desire is taboo) is given a symbol that arouses the feeling of fear. OCD affects 1 in 50 adult Americans, and can cause many other problems such as depression, relationship conflicts, and sometimes include an inability to work.
Come find out how using analytical techniques to find the originating root causes, where they are resolved and re-framed, also incorporating cognitive behavioral therapy with hypnosis, allows that person to think and feel differently, and provides your clients with more control in their lives.

Also, it will give you a better understanding why your currnt skills work and allow you to comand more respect when communicating with both alternative and conventional allopathic practioners.
